Glass is a safe and clean carrier for breast milk or formula. Awareness of baby feeding products with BPA among Australian parents has heightened sharply after recent reports by A Current Affair and the ABC. Around the world, BPA has attracted growing attention as more and more research confirms that the chemical in products (such as baby bottles) can leach out and be subsequently consumed.

 

Many studies (we have them all on record if you would like a copy please us know), they reveal that baby bottles with BPA release the chemical during heating of milk/formula, high-temperatures such as dishwashing and microwave/steam sterilising. Glass Bottles are the only safe option. Bisphenol-A (BPA) can have on humans as it is an estrogen-mimicking cemical. This compound could potentially be posing some risk to the brain development of babies and children. BPA may cause things like early puberty in girls and breast tissue development in boys. It is the main chemical used to make the common clear polycarbonate baby bottles. This chemical can leach from the plastic into the milk, and this is more an issue when the bottle has been heated or is scratched or no longer clear in appearance.
