No DEET – what is DEET?
DEET is present in all the top selling insect repelling sprays and lotions. DEET.com provides proof that when “properly used”, DEET is safe for children. However, they ask adults not to allow kids to apply the products themselves, since they frequently put their hands into their mouths. They disregard the fact that children also touch their arms, legs, and clothes with their hands, especially when active.
DEET is also to be cleaned off the skin with soap and water after returning indoors, which most people do not know or adhere to. How to use:
Place the GONE collar around the dog or cat's neck and adjust for a proper fit before securing the buckle. The collar must be worn loosely to permit mobility of the collar around the neck of your pet. A properly fitted collar, when fastened, is able to slide smoothly over the dog or cat's head, allowing an immediate release should the collar become entangled. Leave about 5cm on the collar for extra adjustment and cut off surplus.
